The Camino de Santiago, also known by a variety of English names including: The Camino Way and St. James's Way, is the name of any of the pilgrimages to the shrine of the Apostle St. James the Great in the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia in north-western Spain, where tradition has it that the remains of the saint are buried. Many take up this route as a form of spiritual path or retreat for their spiritual/personal growth. Often it is used as a time away for reflection and focussing on a new future. Many pilgrims finish the Camino at Finisterre (known as the end of the world) where pilgrims burned their clothes to represent the start of their new life. I did this walk alone in October 2015 when at a crossroads in my life and found it a beautiful walk, allowing space to breathe and find answers. Plus I met lots of 'pilgrims' from all over the world which opened my mind to new ideas and opportunities. I believe everyone should walk one of the Camino routes every year to 'break free'. This is my third visit and I would love you to join me on this enlightening and beautiful journey to remember for ever…

Some Tips  This walk is light under foot but the distance is fairly long.  We take a steady pace but you will need to be fairly fit. We tend to spread the walk over 7 – 8 hours including breaks for refreshments and lunch in the cafes along the way.  I suggest you get a route map with tourist information as it's great to note sights along the route.  Also why not watch ‘The Way’ with Martin Sheen to get you in the mood.

Enjoy a fabulous week of fun and friendship with like minded people and meet 'pilgrims' from all over the world.
