Majorca also spelt Mallorca is the largest island in the Balearic Islands which are part of Spain and located in the Mediterranean. The Serra de Tramuntana is a mountain range that runs along the northwest coast of Mallorca. With a length of 90 km and a width of 15km at some points, it includes 18 municipalities and covers about 30% of the island's territory.

This tour offers 6 days of walking over the beautiful mountain ranges in Majorca with fantastic views over the coastline. Our English speaking guides enhance the tour with their extreme love and knowledge of the area. Regular walkers will enjoy the 5 hours approximately a day hikes on well used mountain tracks.

Our 3 star hotel set in Pageura away from the bustling tourist life of Majorca, the tour offers accommodation, breakfast and dinner with a lovely bar to relax at the end of day's walking. Transport, water and fruit are provided by our guides, with local supermarkets to purchase your picnic lunch.

Our delightful walking agenda includes;.

Walk 1 We are taken by transport to Fornalutx (800 mts over the sea) walking to Puig Major ;the highest peak on Majorca. It is situated in the Serra de Tramuntana mountains.  (1400 mts) Distance walking about 10 km

Walk 2 Today we start at Alaro, a delightful region with the most characteristic image of the twin peaks; Castell and s Álcadena, which inspired numerous legends about kings and witches. Walking under the shade of the evergreen oaks along an old stone path, we approach the majestic rock crowning the mountain and walk to the Alaro Castle. 12 kms with return (gradual ascent from 200 mts over the sea to 800 mts)

Walk 3 We walk through the Llevant Natural Park visiting the Civil War Prison and deserted beach.  The The park is located in the north-eastern part of the island of Majorca, in the Llevant peninsula, in the municipality of Artá. It has several Mediterranean habitats, such as forests of holm oak, wild olive trees and pine trees, as well as beaches and streams. This natural environment blends with the agrarian ecosystems created over time to form one of the most diverse landscapes in Majorca. (12 km with return 0-200 mts over Sea)

Walk 4  A beautiful coastal walk from Es Carbo a breath-taking remote golden sandy beach in the south east of Majorca. Enjoy calm and tranquillity walking 12 km beside the Sea. Private and only wildlife will surround you with a few yachts.

Walk 5  Walking from the delightful coastal town of Saint Elm to La Trapa. This walk out of St Elm follows the green, wild and rugged coast line of at the foot of the Tramuntana mountains, and offers spectacular views over Dragonera island and the pretty turquoise waters of the Cala d'en Basset.  The La Trapa Monastery; one of our favourite picnic stops is a delightful peaceful resting place for lunch.  After the walk we return to Saint Elm for a much need sea dip and ice cream. (9 km in total from 0 to 400 mts)

Walk 6 We offer an optional visit to the Island of Dragonera. This is a self guided walk but your tour leaders will be there. (There is a ferry charge of approx. 25 Euros). An island renown for lizards and when we visited lots of baby seagulls. A perfect end to the tour, but please obey island rules regarding no feeding of birds or wildlife; especially the lizards.
